Several years ago, I founded the International Shudokan Research Society to preserve the legacy of karate from Toyama Kanken and his students together with like-minded people.

 It is a matter close to my heart to share my knowledge, accumulated over almost 40 years, with like-minded people.

 What can you expect from the Research Society? For the past two years, I have been working on a book about the 13 main kata taught by Toyama Kanken at the Shudokan Dojo:

 My goal is to present the complete history of all 13 kata and to make accessible personal information passed down by Toyama Sensei and his students. This book is planned for publication in German, English, Spanish, and Japanese.

 The designs for the kata Chinto, Naifanchin, Passai Dai, Chibana Kushanku, Tenryu no kon and Gojushiho are already finished and can be downloaded by all members in the members-only area of the website.

 The remaining documents for the Pinan Kata will be published in 2025.
