Shinpatan and Shinpacho are two great kata that have been passed down through the lineage of Ichikawa Isao Hanshi.

 I taught these two kata in the Shudokan masterclass in 2022. Now I would like to make the teaching materials available to anyone interested.

 What will you get from me?

 
 I have divided the Shinpatan sequence into five sections and explain the kata's flow in detail in five videos. Additionally, there is a video in which Christopher Sallai Renshi and I explain some basic practical applications of the kata. It is important to me that you understand the kata correctly.
 
 The same applies to Shinpacho. Since Shinpacho contains many similar techniques to Shinpatan, I have divided this kata into only four sections. Together with Christopher Sallai Renshi, I have also analyzed the practical applications of Shinpacho techniques in a video.
 
 From my teachers, I learned a very comprehensive style of Karatedo. For me, Karate has always been more than just blocking, kicking, and punching. In my view, it's important to broaden your horizons from time to time. I visited teachers of various martial arts and asked them to share their interpretations of the practical application of Shinpatan and Shinpacho techniques. I've titled the videos "Bunkai Outside the Box." These joint training sessions were very inspiring for me. I hope you can take something away from them as well.
